Everyone’s got a camera in their pocket, and anyone can take a photo.
These are thoughts I have increasingly. They come to me when I’m doing a market and watch groups of people give my images a vague glance before swiftly moving on.

I think it when I wonder if my photos are actually any good, and if I’m wasting money when I send them to the printers.

I wonder when I review photos by the thousand looking for the handful that make me feel like I’m back in the moment again.
This certainly isn’t unique to me and probably applies to pretty much any creative practice, at least to an extent.

I think this post is more to quieten the feeling of being inadequate within myself by looking back at some magical experiences.
Each has generally occured from being curious and taking my sweet time among nature and wildlife. Learning. Watching. Thinking.

While I’m fond of each photo, I can’t say they’re my all time favourites. Well, maybe a few of them are up there – certainly this one is.

Rather, they’re a selection of photos near the top of my media library.
As I browse, I ask myself that question again: could anyone take these photos?

It’s with great joy that I feel I can say honestly to myself that, no, absolutely not.

A greatly validating experience to smack down a wave of imposter syndrome.
